Q. What is Day of Giving?

Indiana Tech’s Day of Giving aims to inspire Warriors to come together and show pride in their alma mater. Tech’s Day of Giving helps provide essential funding to support to current and future students. This event shines a spotlight on all that is happening at Indiana Tech and create a sense of energy around philanthropy.  

Q. When is Day of Giving?

Day of Giving is on February 20, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. to February 21, 2024 at 8:00 a.m 


Q. Is there a minimum gift?

There is a $5 minimum donation.  


Q. Is there a fee charged for online credit card gifts?

Credit card transactions and third-party processing fees will be deducted from each donation during Day of Giving as follows: 

  • GiveGab charges a 3.5% campaign management fee from all donations. 
  • Credit card processing fees are an additional 2.5% + $0.30 for all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover).  
  • You are automatically opted in to cover fees. Donors can choose to opt out of covering the fees.

Note that opting in to cover fees allows 100% of your online charitable gift will go to Day of Giving. The choice is yours, if you do not want to cover the fees, simply uncheck the cover fees button to remove the check mark.  


Q. Can I make donations via a mobile device?

 Yes! Simply visit dayofgiving.indianatech.edu on your mobile device.


Q. What if I already made a gift to Indiana Tech this year?

Thank you for being part of the Indiana Tech donor family! We appreciate your commitment and encourage you to make an additional gift of any size on February 20th. We also need your help to promote Day of giving to others. We have created sample email and social media posts to help you do this more easily, which are located in the Ambassador Toolkit on the site.


Q. Is my payment secure? What is GiveGab?

Yes - Day of Giving is facilitated by GiveGab, a nonprofit giving platform that helps nonprofits raise money, engage donors, and manage volunteers quickly and efficiently. GiveGab partners with Stripe, a PCI Service Provider Level 1, to securely process all gifts made through dayofgiving.indianatech.edu. All other payment options are provided for your convenience by Indiana Tech.  


Q. Do I need to create an account with GiveGab?

No. You do not need to create an account to make a donation. The benefits of creating an account include having your tax receipts collected in one location, being able to track your donations, follow the charities you support, and engage in future volunteering and donations. Your tax receipt is emailed immediately upon processing your donation. To claim a donation as a deduction on U.S. taxes, you should retain the donation receipt as an official record.
